The information we collect & how we use it
It is necessary to collect your personal information in order to process your accommodation booking. We may collect your name, email address, telephone number etc. It is possible that such information may be processed outside of Europe.
We are then able to confirm your booking with the relevant accomodation provider (i.e. The Green Lizard). The data is stored in our back office administration and may be recalled for internal administration matters, such as reporting or responding to enquiries.
We will also collect your card details - number, expiry date and other relevant details such as security code, your name etc. This information is never stored on our website or in our online database. Further, credit card number, expiry date and security code are never passed to the accommodation provider.
By volunteering your information here we will not contact you for any matter other than the reservation itself.
Safety and security of your information
Our site uses the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) to protect your information whenever you make a booking. This software encrypts all information you input before it is sent, so it travels encrypted from your computer to the booking system. We also follow a tight security procedure as required under UK Data Protection Legislation (the Data Protection Act 1998) to protect the information that we store about you from unauthorised access.
Credit card security
We use Protx for our online credit and debit card processing. All card information is sent to Protx encrypted by 128 bit security. At no time is your card information stored on our website or in our online database – it is passed straight to Protx.
